In light of the positive test results for the COVID-19 virus from some sewage samples collected in North District, Tuen Mun, Sha Tin, Wan Chai, Wong Tai Sin and Yuen Long, the Home Affairs Department (HAD) said today (March 18) that the North District Office (NDO), the Tuen Mun District Office (TMDO), the Sha Tin District Office (STDO), the Wan Chai District Office (WCDO), the Wong Tai Sin District Office (WTSDO) and the Yuen Long District Office (YLDO) have distributed a total of about 170 000 COVID-19 rapid test kits (rapid test kits) to households, cleansing workers and property management staff living and working in the districts.
The NDO and the TMDO distributed rapid test kits to households, cleansing workers and property management staff living and working in Ka Shing Court, Dawning Views, Wah Sum Estate and Avon Park in North District and Leung King Estate, Siu Kwai Court, Siu Hin Court, Siu Pong Court and Siu Lung Court in Tuen Mun District for voluntary testing through the property management companies.
The STDO and the WCDO distributed rapid test kits to households, cleansing workers and property management staff living and working in Saddle Ridge Garden, Lee On Estate and Kam Lung Court in Sha Tin District and Lai Tak Tsuen, Serenade, Dragon Centre, Wun Sha Tower, Villa d' Arte, Fook Hing Court, Concord Villas and Illumination Terrace in Wan Chai District for voluntary testing through the owners' corporations and the property management companies.
The WTSDO also distributed rapid test kits to households, cleansing workers and property management staff living and working in Choi Wan (I) Estate, Choi Wan (ll) Estate and Choi Fai Estate for voluntary testing through the Housing Department and the property management companies.
Moreover, the YLDO distributed rapid test kits to households, cleansing workers and property management staff living and working in Tin Wah Estate, Tin Tsz Estate and Tin Lai Court for voluntary testing through the property management companies.
The HAD made the above arrangements in the hope of identifying infected persons early.
For people who obtained positive results through rapid antigen test for the first time can report via the online platform "Declaration System for Individuals Tested Positive for COVID-19 Using Rapid Antigen Test" (www.chp.gov.hk/ratp/). If individuals encounter difficulties in using the online platform, they can call the automated system at 183 6119 to register their identification document and telephone number. The Centre for Health Protection will contact the relevant person later to finish the report procedure.

The Government appeals for the co-operation of members of the public to safeguard the health of themselves and their families by undergoing testing on a voluntary basis and fighting the virus together. The Government urges all individuals who are in doubt about their own health condition, or individuals with infection risks (such as individuals who visited places with epidemic outbreaks or had contact with cases that tested positive), to undergo testing promptly for early identification of infected persons to reduce the transmission risks of COVID-19.
