The Civil Service Bureau (CSB) today (March 6) said that a staff member of the CSB has tested positive for COVID-19.
The officer is the Press Secretary to the Secretary for the Civil Service. She usually works in the office and she wore masks and followed relevant disease prevention measures at work. She has no recent travel history. She last went to work on March 4.
The Secretary for the Civil Service, Mr Patrick Nip, has been taking COVID-19 rapid tests every day and the results are all negative.
The CSB will conduct a thorough cleaning and disinfection at the relevant offices and arrange relevant staff members to undergo COVID-19 tests in accordance with the advice from the Centre for Health Protection of the Department of Health.
