Stanley Prison today (February 25) learned that a correctional officer has tested preliminarily positive for COVID-19.
The staff member, responsible for visit registration service, underwent COVID-19 testing on February 22. He was notified that he had tested preliminarily positive today. He last performed duties on February 21.
The Correctional Services Department has arranged for relevant staff in the institution to undergo COVID-19 testing and will conduct thorough cleaning and disinfection at the relevant locations. As such, the official visit service of Stanley Prison will be suspended tomorrow (February 26).
