The Environment Bureau (ENB) today (February 24) said that a driver of the ENB has tested preliminarily positive for COVID-19.
The driver is responsible for driving duties for the Permanent Secretary for the Environment/Director of Environmental Protection, Miss Janice Tse. He does not need to have contact with the public and had no recent travel history. He wore masks and followed relevant disease prevention measures at work. He last performed duties yesterday (February 23).
Miss Tse has taken a COVID-19 rapid test and the result is negative. She has returned her deep throat saliva sample for testing. For prudence's sake, Miss Tse will work from home until the test result is released.
The ENB will conduct thorough cleaning and sterilisation at the workplace concerned, and has arranged for relevant staff members to undergo COVID-19 testing.
