According to the updated criteria for releasing confirmed COVID-19 patients from isolation stipulated by the Government earlier, patients who meet the discharge criteria will be subject to a 14-day isolation and health monitoring after being discharged from hospital. With the availability of an isolation facility arranged by the Department of Health, the Hospital Authority (HA) has progressively arranged the transfer of patients meeting the discharge criteria to the facility to continue their 14-day post-discharge isolation and health monitoring.
As at 9am today (November 12), 35 COVID-19 confirmed patients (case numbers: 12283, 12291, 12294, 12295, 12301, 12302, 12304, 12306, 12308, 12311, 12313, 12317, 12319, 12321, 12322, 12324, 12325, 12326, 12327, 12328, 12330, 12331, 12333, 12335, 12336, 12338, 12339, 12340, 12342, 12345, 12346, 12348, 12349, 12352 and 12354) were discharged from hospital in the last 24 hours. One patient has completed the 14-day post-discharge isolation, while the other 34 patients will continue with the remainder of their 14-day post-discharge isolation. So far, a total of 12 072 patients with confirmed or probable infection have been discharged.
At present, there are 596 negative pressure rooms in public hospitals with 1 061 negative pressure beds activated. A total of 57 confirmed patients are currently hospitalised in seven public hospitals and the North Lantau Hospital Hong Kong Infection Control Centre, and all of them are in stable condition.
The HA will maintain close contact with the Centre for Health Protection to monitor the latest developments and to inform the public and healthcare workers on the latest information in a timely manner.
