Checking of shark prevention nets at some beaches completed

     Here is an item of interest to swimmers.

     The Leisure and Cultural Services Department announced today (October 12) that the checking of shark prevention nets at Deep Water Bay Beach, Repulse Bay Beach, South Bay Beach and Stanley Main Beach in Southern District, Hong Kong Island, has been completed.

     However, due to big waves and inclement weather, the red flags are still hoisted at these beaches. Beachgoers are advised not to swim at these beaches.
