The Chief Executive, Mrs Carrie Lam, today (September 5) extended her warmest congratulations to Hong Kong Badminton athlete Chan Ho-yuen on winning a bronze medal in the Men's Singles WH2 event at the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games.
"With excellent skills, Chan Ho-yuen gave his all in the competitions and was undaunted in the face of strong opponents, winning a bronze medal in the final match. I believe that all Hong Kong people are overjoyed and I extend my warmest congratulations to him," Mrs Lam said.
Chan Ho-yuen was the silver medalist in the Badminton Men's Singles WH2 event at the 2018 Asian Para Games. He also won a silver medal in the Men's Singles WH2 event at TOTAL BWF Para-Badminton World Championships held in Basel, Switzerland in 2019.
