Hong Kong boccia athlete Leung Yuk-wing today (September 1) added a bronze medal for the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region in the Boccia Mixed Individual BC4 event at the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games. The President of the Legislative Council, Mr Andrew Leung, on behalf of all Members, issued a letter to congratulate Leung Yuk-wing. Mr Andrew Leung also expresses gratitude to his training and support team.
Mr Andrew Leung said, "Boccia is a strategy and mind game. Mr Leung Yuk-wing's performance was very stable throughout the competition. With excellent tactics, high level of accuracy and outstanding skills, he outperformed his opponents, claiming the second medal for Hong Kong at this Paralympics."
Mr Andrew Leung added, "Hong Kong athletes who are still competing at the Tokyo Paralympic Games would be encouraged by another triumph of the Hong Kong team. I believe the athletes would do their utmost to strive for victory in the remaining events while they would continue to have full support from the people of Hong Kong."
