â€‹The Transport Department (TD) said today (August 16) that in view of the latest situation of COVID-19, to reduce the risk of the disease spreading through crowds gathering for purchase of parking tickets and to ensure fair allocation of parking spaces to the public, the special sale arrangements will be, for the last time, implemented at the seven government car parks under the management of the TD for monthly tickets for September. Subsequently, the TD will sell the quarterly parking tickets of the five government car parks (i.e. Tin Hau, Shau Kei Wan, Aberdeen, Kwai Fong and Tsuen Wan Car Parks) where demand is high through balloting. The remaining two government car parks (i.e. Star Ferry and City Hall Car Parks) will sell monthly parking tickets on a first-come, first-served basis.
