The Narcotics Division (ND) announced today (January 27) that the Hong Kong Jockey Club Drug InfoCentre (DIC) will be closed for renovation from February 1. Renovation works are expected to last for about one and a half years.

Located at the roof floor of the Low Block of the Queensway Government Offices, the DIC, opened in 2004, is the first permanent anti-drug educational exhibition centre in Hong Kong. The DIC will be holistically revamped with a new design theme, upgraded facilities and modernised exhibits, thus strengthening its functions of anti-drug education and enriching the visitation experience of members of the public.

During the works period, the ND will continue to organise through online means Lunchtime Parental Talks originally held at the DIC.  Subject to the developments of COVID-19, the ND will also consider arranging a mobile exhibition vehicle to visit schools and various places to continue the provision of anti-drug educational services.
