The Housing Department today (December 14) learned that a hall attendant employed by its contractor was tested positive for coronavirus disease 2019. The concerned hall attendant is working at the Hong Kong Housing Authority Customer Services Centre, Lok Fu. He is now at the Community Treatment Facility in AsiaWorld-Expo for treatment.
The hall attendant is normally responsible for crowd control at podium level 1 of the centre. He last performed duties on December12.
He has no recent travel history. He has been wearing a face mask and has observed relevant disease prevention measures at work. When performing duties, he has been undergoing temperature checks and his body temperature was normal.
The office and common areas of the centre have been thoroughly cleaned and disinfected in accordance with the guidelines of the Centre for Health Protection.
The Housing Department will continue to keep close liaison with the CHP and co-operate with its quarantine work.
