Police appeal for information on fatal traffic accident in Cheung Sha Wan

     Police are investigating a fatal traffic accident in Cheung Sha Wan on October 30 morning in which a 61-year-old man died.

     At 7.15am that day, a light goods vehicle (LGV) driven by a 21-year-old man was travelling westbound along King Lai Path, it reportedly knocked down the 61-year-old male pedestrian who was crossing the road.

     Sustaining head injury, the man was rushed to Princess Margaret Hospital in semi-conscious state and was certified dead at 5.16pm on October 30.

     The LGV driver was arrested for dangerous driving causing grievous bodily harm and has been released on bail pending further enquiries. He is required to report back to Police in late-November.

     Investigation by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, Kowloon West is underway.
