Police are investigating a fatal traffic accident in Lantau North last night (August 31) in which a 43-year-old man died.
At 9.43pm, a specialized vehicle (SPV) driven by a 55-year-old man and a motorcycle driven by the 43-year-old man were travelling in sequence along North Lantau Highway towards Airport. When approaching Ta Pang Po, the motorcycle reportedly lost control and hit the SPV.
Sustaining multiple injuries, the motorcyclist was rushed to North Lantau Hospital in unconscious state and was certified dead at 10.48pm.
Investigation by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, New Territories South is underway.
