New tech yields bumper crop

     The Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department (AFCD) has been proactively exploring different modernised production methods to enhance the development of the local agricultural industry.
 
     It recently introduced two new technologies for hydroponic farming – changeable spectrum grow light technology and nanobubble technology, which can effectively speed up the growth of crops.
 
     News.gov.hk spoke to an AFCD agricultural officer and a hydroponic farmer to find out how the technologies work and how they can boost the industry's competitiveness.
