Appeal for a missing patient of Castle Peak Hospital

The following is issued on behalf of the Hospital Authority:
 
     The spokesperson for Castle Peak Hospital (CPH) made the following appeal today (October 30), regarding a missing discharged patient:

     A 65-year-old male patient with dementia was discharged from the hospital at about 11.15am today, accompanied by the staff of a private hostel. But the patient left by himself without getting on the hostel vehicle. The hostel staff immediately informed the hospital and reported the case to the Police. CPH deployed security guards to search the hospital compound but failed to locate the patient.

     The patient is about 1.65 metres tall and of medium build with white short hair. He was wearing a grey vest and black trousers at that time. The hospital appeals to the public to contact the Report Room of Tuen Man Police Station at 3661 5800 or call CPH at 2456 7111 if they know the whereabouts of the patient.

     The incident has been reported to the Hospital Authority Head Office via the Advance Incident Reporting System. The hospital will continue to fully co-operate with the Police to locate the patient.
