Starting from 5pm today (July 27), Police conducted a dispersal operation eastward in Yuen Long. The operation is still ongoing and tear gas has been used.
Violent clashes broke out at various locations in Yuen Long as some protestors removed fences from the kerbside and used mill barriers to block roads. Some hurled bricks and hard objects at Police officers and charged Police cordon lines. To prevent further deterioration of the situation, Police appeal to members of the public to leave in the eastern direction, towards MTR Yuen Long station, and avoid travelling to Yuen Long area.
