Police yesterday (June 26) reclassified a person collapsed case in Central that occurred on June 16 as murder.
At about 9.50pm on June 16, Police received a report that a man collapsed on Man Kwong Street. Police officers sped to the scene and found the 63-year-old man lying unconsciously on the ground. He was rushed to Queen Mary Hospital in unconscious state and was certified dead at 9.04am on June 18.
Post-mortem examinations revealed that the 63-year-old man sustained a fatal injury on his head.
Regional Crime Unit of Hong Kong Island took over the case. A 26-year-old man in suspected connection with the case was arrested for murder in Tuen Mun District yesterday. Initial investigation showed that the deceased had a dispute with the 26-year-old man and was suspected to be pushed to the ground.
Active investigation by the Regional Crime Unit of Hong Kong Island is underway.
