Police are investigating a fatal traffic accident in Ngau Tau Kok today (June 25) in which a 41-year-old man died.
At about 12.40pm, a motorcycle driven by the 41-year-old man and a light goods vehicle (LGV) driven by a 59-year-old man were travelling along Wan Chiu Road towards Mong Kok. When reaching near Sheung Yee Road, the two vehicles reportedly collided.
Sustaining injuries to his chest, the motorcyclist was rushed to United Christian Hospital in unconscious state and was certified dead at 2.11pm.
The 59-year-old LGV driver was arrested for dangerous driving causing grievous bodily harm and is being detained for further enquiries.
Investigation by the Special Investigation Team of Traffic, Kowloon East is underway.
