Six people have gone missing after a landslide hit an expressway construction site in southwest China’s Guizhou Province on Saturday.
The landslide happened in Libo County at around 7 p.m. One person managed to escape, and three people were rescued and sent to hospital, while six others went missing, according to the county authorities.
The expressway, passing through a karst mountain with complex geological conditions, is under construction.
A preliminary investigation found that the landslide could be triggered by continuous rain in recent days.
The rescue is continuing.
