On May 23-24, Acting Assistant Secretary for the East Asian and Pacific Affairs Bureau Susan Thornton will travel to Manila, Philippines, to attend Senior Officials Meetings for the East Asia Summit, ASEAN Regional Forum, and Lower Mekong Initiative. She will then travel to Beijing, China, on May 25-26 to discuss bilateral and regional issues of mutual interest with Chinese officials.
