35 persons arrested for unlawful acts across Hong Kong

     Some crowds gathered and behaved in a disorderly manner in the vicinity of Causeway Bay, Yuen Long, Mong Kok and Kwun Tong tonight (June 12). Some threw hard objects from height targeting police officers on Shantung Street, Mong Kok. After repeated warnings went futile, Police conducted dispersal and arrest operations.

     As at 10pm, Police had arrested 35 persons, including 24 males and 11 females, for offences including wounding, unlawful assembly, participating in an unauthorised assembly, disorder in public places and possession of offensive weapon.

     Police do not condone any illegal violent acts and warn crowds to leave immediately. Police would take resolute law enforcement actions against anyone who commit any illegal acts according to the situation.
